If you want to be at the top, you’ve got to get on the ride!
This 55 second clip captures a little of the fun me and some friends had on the High Roller, in Las Vegas, which is the tallest observation wheel in the world at 550 feet high! Like seeing things from a new perspective? This attraction is a total must-do in Sin City.
We couldn’t wait to get on that thing! The opportunity to see the glowing lights of Las Vegas from a new vantage point…and to do it from a “pod” that serves beverages, informs riders about the view and plays tunes for up to 40 people…um, yeah! I was so inspired by the observation wheel, that I nearly branded this whole blog site around the concept.

Here are 2 tips for a prosperous and exhilarating ride to the top with your business:
Go with the flow.
Your own momentum picks up new business partners and clients along the way, before cycling through a full rotation or season. Tired or unwilling riders can pop off at any time, while providing everyone an equal opportunity to get to the top. Isn’t that cool? No matter when you get on the ride, unless you jump off, you will reach the summit and see the full picture from above. As long as you stay on the ride to educate and inspire as many people as possible, know that it’s totally okay for them to get off when they’ve given up or had enough for whatever reason. Some people just want to see what’s it’s like in those pods. To get a taste of what’s possible for them. Not everyone will be as excited or dedicated as you are to keep going! Some won’t believe they’re deserving. Some never understand what they are part of, or jumped the turnstyle in the first place just to take a peek.
Go with the flow, and the best pod-mates will rise to the top with you.
Let your vision guide your view.
When you first boarded this entrepreneurial ride, you had a vision. You were likely coached by your upline to craft a clear picture of what you desired to achieve, how you intended to make a difference in the world, whom you wanted to help with your product or business opportunity and why.
Things look a little different now, right? The more time you spend on the wheel, the more perspective you gain. You get clearer on what freedom means to you and what’s possible in your business. You develop a keener sense of the qualities you prefer in your pod-mates. And you will become at ease with the little wobbles felt when the wheel loads and unloads your thousands of riders. Are you observing glittering activity from afar? It’s a good idea to assess your own and your team’s activity every once in a while, but if you stay focused on your vision, the view will rise up to meet it.
I hope this inspires you to not only RIDE, but RISE to the top. After all, it’s time for the Rise of the Entrepreneur, so why not plan for the best view in the city? As my mentor Darren Hardy says in The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster,
“This is what business is like. This is what business is. It is a frightening, exhilarating, and totally addictive thrill ride.” #jointheride
